What is GoSIP?
GoSIP is a SIP provisioned app designed for the Android market. It is designed to run on any android device (version Froyo or better including, Gingerbread, Honeycomb and the latest Icecream Sandwich as well). It is designed to run on the phone form factor right now, but will be tablet compatible by the end of April 2012.
What does GoSIP do?
GoSIP installs on your device as a service and allows you to make and receive phone calls to and from the continental United States as long as you have a data connection( Wifi, 2G, 3G, 4G, LTE) . It interfaces with your device’s contact list database and pulls in all the contacts for dialing and provides you with Call History and call tagging capabilities.Version 2 will have texting capabilities built in.
Why GoSIP?
GoSIP uses your data connection and does not use your cellphone minutes.Using GoSIP, you can make and receive calls to and from the continental US without being here. GoSIP gives you an American DID. Unlike Skype, which is not DID based and is not SIP based, GoSIP brings together the best of both worlds; the mobility and the geographic independence of the IP world and the call robustness, clarity and quality of traditional telephone. GoSIP is simply a best-of-both-worlds hybrid.
